Olawale OJO is a young professional in Agriculture and Agribusiness is a strong believer in 
the empowerment of young people by engaging them in agribusiness. Olawale has received 

training in Integrated Sustainable Agriculture from the Songhai Centre, Benin Republic, The 

Anabel Leadership Academy, Nigeria, and in Social Media and Social Reporting from the 
Global Forum for Agricultural Research (GFAR) at Punta Del Este Uruguay. 
At the moment, he is runs the operations of Agropreneur Nigeria  whose primary focus 
has been a platform for Youth Advocacy and information sharing for young people to 
get interested in Agribusiness in Nigeria. Olawale also shares his thoughts, through very 
insightful and informative articles published in the Nigeria Newspapers, blogs and also 
granted both radio and television interviews on issues relating to youth, agriculture and  
agribusiness. With a university degree in Agricultural Engineering he continues to work on 
projects with farmers across the country thus practicing what he preaches. 
He has been privileged to attend conferences and workshops related to Agricultural Research 
for Development (ARD), leadership and youth development. He presently serves as the 
Nigeria Representative of the Young Professional’s Platform in Agricultural for Development 
(YPARD) which is hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). Olawale on a 
day to day basis continues to spread the news of the benefit of getting actively involved in 
agriculture and agribusiness.



Meerim Shakirova was born and raised in Kyrgyzstan. When Meerim was 16, she moved to Moscow and started her active role in the international sphere, which has allowed her to play leadership roles as a global youth leader, climate change consultant and educator. She is currently a PhD candidate of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), focusing on Energy Economics. She is a Founder of "SAVE ENERGY" NGO, which is based in Kyrgyzstan. She is working as a national expert on carbon offset for CAREC in the Kyrgyz branch. She is a correspondent in GSDM (Global South Development Magazine), for Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Meerim has received scholarships from the UN (United Nations) and the Kyrgyz government. She has been working in international and national agencies in developed and developing countries (Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, India, Nepal, Philippines and Cambodia). 
She is inspired by her lovely family and friends all over the world.





As a blogger and freelance writer, I am Keron Bascombe, an active young professional in agriculture seeking a career in agricultural journalism and communications. Having been exposed to the online and digital journalism world I have developed a passion for writing and social media, the communication norm of today’s world. My blog, technology4agri

I am also very involved in many volunteer projects and always on the lookout for new opportunities.




I am  Achara Ratanakasin,  Director of the Bahn Songkran Life Skill Training Centre located in Ratchaburi province, Thailand.  

The objective of our training is to provide the tool box for living in the modern society  for Thai people both adults and young kids, by teaching them life skill, environmentally sustainable and agricultural  methodology.    In addition I am an active member of the Natural  Resources and Environment Protection and also a key member of  the Friend of Thailand Organisation





Aybek Rudbek uulu is a hyperactive volunteer from Kyrgyzstan. Through volunteerism he is putting all of his efforts towards achieving all of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). He strongly believes that through volunteerism, even if his own efforts are only a small piece of it, the world will be a better place. Aybek's volunteerism centers on encouraging the people surrounding him to take a step forward through which humanity could unite and move towards a brighter, genuinely happy future.




Sitora Khabibova is a graduate of the Russian academy of Economics named after G.V.Plekhanov in Tashkent. She studied Business and Business administration with a major in Finance and credit, from 2004 to 2008. After University she was employed by a consulting company and the Asian Development Bank for different projects and as interpreter. In 2011 she was involved in the project “Financial strategy for forestry sector” as a specialist on financial strategy and program development. Along with financing framework development she also contributed to the organization of workshops and seminars.These seminars were in relation with financing by Donor organizations of forestry activities, financial strategy for financing forestry sector and innovative mechanisms of financing environmental activities. Also, she participated to a number of trainings on Climate Change, Natural resources management in Central Asia, on Capacity Building and skills development. Sitora has a particular interest in education and e-learning. She was enrolled in an “Educational entrepreneurship program” by Indian global edupreneur Forum. During this course, she delivered researches and developed a business plan on “E-HR center”. This mainly focused on capacity building and skills development. The business plan she presented was awarded with a Certificate of Entrepreneur.
